Who we are
Founded in 2020, Whisperwood Framing is a locally rooted, Indigenous, Deaf and woman-owned small business committed to excellence and meaningful impact.
Located in downtown Montesano, Whisperwood is a custom framing business and a gallery for local artists and vintage resellers to showcase their collections. More importantly, Whisperwood functions as a third space, where people can take art classes, and enjoy a comfortable, curated environment.
Whisperwood is also available for corporate and hospitality art collections. Let us take your business in a sophisticated, but local-minded direction with an emphasis on the beautiful and unique features of the Pacific Northwest.
Owner Marisa Salzer has been framing art since 1999. Marisa’s background in journalism, photography and layout has informed her ability to create fully realized visions. As a Deaf woman, she’s developed a unique visual ability, allowing her to create framing and presentation techniques that earned her 5 star reviews across 5 different counties.
Starting from a tiny framing shop in her garage, she has turned her passion for art and presentation into a local art center that acts as a hub for community efforts and support for local artists.
Whisperwood Framing is a local gallery and antiques hub, where you can find beautiful, original artwork by local artists as well as antiques and many any other fun retail finds!
