Meet Jeff Damasiewicz
Jeff is a beloved community member currently 2 weeks overdue from a kayaking trip he often took out on Preacher’s slough. He was wearing his life jacket, had his phone and was a well-seasoned outdoorsman. Not only is he a beloved artist in the gallery, his wife is also a sweetheart and works with us. The family followed through with his wishes in participating in the PNW Fest we are hosting Sat. Aug. 1. We have those pieces on display with a kind patron purchasing each and every item the day it went up. We were able to give the family all the sales ($7,000) from this purchase. Because he is still missing, and the family has many challenges they are facing-they brought in the remaining pieces from his law office (located in Aberdeen) to go up for sale. No consignment fees or any other type of fees are taken from the sale of his art. The family receives all of it. All of it is for sale, click on the “book” link and it will lead you to an online shopping cart for purchasing purposes.
Pictured here, my son, Whalen, is a huge fan of this painting. He tried to convince me that Jeff “gave” it to him while it was in the shop waiting for its frame. I told Jeff that, and he generously marked it at one cent, allowing Whalen to purchase it. It hangs above his bed in his room. Jeff is also the artist I have the honor of having the most pieces by in my home. He painted a delightful painting of my boys when we traveled to Alaska four years ago.
